However, many times we do not realize that we are repeating the same mistakes over and over again that make our face not look as professional as we want.

Choosing the right base, applying the concealer well, putting on the blush according to your skin tone… There are many tips that you will have been given, and you have surely followed. But surely you feel identified when reading some of these mistakes that we can make in the makeup of the face:
Not choosing the makeup base well
- As a general rule, when we go to a store to buy, we tend to try it on our hands and it is not recommended! The right place to try any type of foundation is on the neck. Once you apply it and blend it, there should NOT be any kind of mark; otherwise, you would have to choose another color.
- The important thing at this point is to know that makeup is not used to make you tan or to make you believe that your skin is whiter than it seems. It is essential to take good note of the choice of makeup, which should be as natural and bright as possible.
Apply too much sun powder
Some women have no limit when it comes to applying translucent powder. They pick up the brush and start putting them all over their faces, unaware of the disaster they are about to witness. These types of powders are ideal for setting or avoiding shine, but you shouldn’t go overboard. They should be applied to the T zone of the face: forehead, nose, cheekbones, and chin. The rest of the face must be completely free of them.
The way to apply the dark circle’s concealer

And, also, after mascara and eye shadows. In this way, if something in the make-up needs to be corrected, the concealer will not be damaged and the dark circles will be completely hidden.
- Of course, you must apply a concealer that is of a color that suits your skin, although the ideal is to choose an orange one. You should never wear one lighter because the only thing you will do is accentuate the dark circles more. And, as if this were not enough, you should apply the concealer from the tear duct to the middle of the dark circle so as not to accentuate wrinkles.
Areas to put the illuminator on the face
As with sun powder, the highlighter is usually applied in a rather wrong way as a general rule. We tend to apply highlighter to areas of the face that don’t need it, thus creating an unprofessional effect. Where should you put the highlighter? Too much blush?
- Many women still have doubts about the exact area where they should apply blush. And, also, about which colors or tones will favor them the most according to their skin. Well, you have to know that not everything goes and that the correct way to apply the blush is not along the face. The misplaced line of the eye
- Did you know that wearing the bottom part makes the eye smaller? If you have small eyes, don’t make them appear more visually. Put on well-marked eyeliner on top (of the extension that you like the most) and you will see that the results are infinitely much better. You can also try to put a little white below and enlarge your look.
- What you should keep in mind is that the eye line must always be applied before the mascara. And, also, if it is about giving the eye more naturalness, you can even apply it with eye shadows instead of eyeliner that is too black. Also, the top line will always have to go up, never down. In this way, you will only make your gaze look downcast and sad.
Unnatural eyebrows
Another of the most common mistakes among women is plucking their eyebrows too much or applying makeup to the point of losing all possible naturalness. It is very good to put makeup on them and do it well since they frame your look, but you should not overdo the process, otherwise, they will be very artificial and all eyes will go to the same place. And we don’t want that, right?
Highlighting the eye shadows too much
Some experts say that, before putting makeup on the face, we must decide what we want to highlight. Many women start applying color to their eyes and lips without realizing that what they are getting is a whole fest of unflattering colors. It is also necessary to take into account the place we go to and the time of day because it is not advisable to use a very marked fuchsia pink eye shadow to go to work, don’t you think? We come to the last point of the mistakes we make when putting on makeup, this time on the lips. Choosing a good lipstick will make us succeed with any look, so all you have to do is avoid making any of these mistakes at all costs:
Misusing the profiler
Lip liner is one of the women’s worst friends as it is sometimes too complicated to use correctly. The lips should be outlined right after the lipstick and, if it is a tone darker than the bar, you will have to blend it well. Otherwise, it will look too much and you will have a very undesirable effect.
The lip color that does not flatter you
- The colors will depend on the eye shadows that you have chosen, as we already told you a few lines above. In addition, you will have to choose them based on how your lips and mouth are: for example, if you have very thin lips, it is not advisable to use bars that are too dark as they will make them even smaller.
- The idea is to get several colors and combine them depending on the day or when you are going to use them. And, finally, you should know that rubbing the lips to distribute the color (a practice that almost all of us do daily) is not necessary, although you can do it whenever you want. The color will already be distributed by itself.
